Dr. Alex George

Dr. Alex George is a translational scientist with over 15 years of experience in human genetics, cancer biology, and clinical research across academic medical centres and international collaborations. He currently serves as Scientist D at the Jubilee Centre for Medical Research, where he contributes to multidisciplinary programs integrating molecular biology, genomics, and clinical investigation. His expertise spans cytogenetics, molecular diagnostics, telomere biology, liquid biopsy, extracellular vesicle biology, and next-generation sequencing (NGS). Dr. George's research focuses on congenital anomalies, cancer progression, and complex multifactorial disorders, with an emphasis on translating molecular insights into clinical applications. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Canterbury Christ Church University, UK, as an ICMR-DHR International Fellow, and earned his PhD in Human/Medical Genetics from Vellore Institute of Technology.
