Research Administration & Facilitation Team

Research Administration & Facilitation Team (RAFT) functions as the operational backbone of the institutional research ecosystem, enabling high-quality biomedical, clinical, and translational research through structured administrative, ethical, technical, and academic support.

Cell and Molecular Biology Facility

Dedicated to advancing research on genetic, molecular, and cellular mechanisms underlying human diseases, with specialized expertise in congenital anomalies, cancer biology, and translational genomics.

Cytogenetics & Genomics Laboratory

Dedicated to translational genomics research in genetic disorders, human infertility, and haematological malignancies.

Laboratory for Computational and Structural Biology

The Laboratory for Computational and Structural Biology (LCSB) comprises a dynamic and highly motivated team of researchers dedicated to addressing complex biological questions using integrated in silico, in vitro, in vivo, and structural biology approaches. The laboratory’s primary focus is on drug discovery, with an emphasis on identifying and developing novel candidate molecules with potential therapeutic value. In parallel, LCSB employs structure- and bioinformatics-guided analyses to elucidate the structural basis of protein function, molecular interactions, and the mechanisms by which disease-associated missense mutations alter biological activity. for more details www.lcsb.in (Lab page)

Biochemistry & Phytochemistry Research Division

Exploring protein biology in clinical perspective and investigating bioactivities of phyto molecules

Bioinformatics

The Bioinformatics Centre at Jubilee Centre for Medical Research functions as a dedicated, state-of-the-art research facility committed to advancing computational and data-driven life-science investigations. The Centre provides comprehensive support for cutting-edge research in pharmacogenomics, genomics, and computer-aided drug design, enabling the systematic analysis and interpretation of complex biological and biomedical data. Equipped with robust high-performance computational infrastructure and a wide suite of specialized bioinformatics and molecular modeling software, the Centre offers end-to-end support for large-scale data analysis, including multi-omics integration, sequence and structural analysis, variant interpretation, and in silico drug discovery workflows. Expert scientific guidance and methodological support are provided to ensure rigor, reproducibility, and innovation across research projects. By integrating approaches from computational biology, systems biology, structural biology, and molecular modeling, the Bioinformatics Centre fosters interdisciplinary collaborations across basic, translational, and clinical research domains. The Centre plays a pivotal role in accelerating hypothesis generation, refining experimental design, and translating computational insights into actionable biological and therapeutic outcomes. Through these efforts, it actively supports research in precision medicine, rational drug discovery, and personalized therapeutics, contributing to the broader mission of advancing innovative and impactful biomedical research at Jubilee Centre for Medical Research.

Centre for Ayurbiology

The Centre for Ayurbiology (CAB) is a unique facility at the Jubilee Centre for Medical Research dedicated to advancing research in Ayurbiology. By promoting rigorous Ayurveda-based research, the Centre aims to foster meaningful collaborations between academia and industry. Its primary focus is to provide robust scientific validation for traditional Ayurvedic formulations while also exploring and developing novel formulations for life-threatening diseases. All research undertaken at the Centre is grounded in strong experimental evidence and modern scientific rationale, ensuring translational relevance and global acceptance.

Centre for Metabolic Disorders

Metabolic disorders research lab focuses on understanding the biochemical processes that go wrong in the body. This lab bridges the gap between basic biology and clinical medicine to find new ways to diagnose and treat patients.

Small Animal Research Facility

The Small Animal Research Facility of Jubilee Medical College & Research Institute (JMM&RI) functions as an indispensable component of the institute, serving as the locus for all animal-based research endeavors. Both the researchers and faculty members from the Jubilee Centre for Medical Research (JCMR) and the JMM&RI rely heavily on this facility to conduct their investigations requiring animal experiments. The predominant focus of ongoing studies revolves around the translational aspects and toxicity profiles of various therapeutic agents and toxins. However, the paramount emphasis is placed on translational studies, particularly in drug discovery, with the aim of elucidating vital parameters such as the pharmacodynamics of drug lead compounds or extracts, their toxicity profiles, and bioavailability. A number of pivotal translational research projects within the JCMR, encompassing areas such as Alzheimer's disease-related drug discovery, thrombocytopenia, uterine fibroids, among others, necessitate animal studies. Small Animal Research Facility is a recognised centre of CCSEA both for research for education & commercial purpose. The acquisition of a registration of research for commercial purpose for the animal facility, primarily aimed at facilitating translational research, represents a transformative step that would bridge the gap between fundamental scientific discoveries and practical clinical applications in areas such as medicine. These essential endeavors would not only benefit our institute but also hold substantially to public utility.
