Dr Kumudam Unni completed her BSc in Botany from Fergusson College Pune (1985) and MSc in Biotechnology from the School of Biological Sciences, Madurai Kamaraj University in 1987.She went on to complete her PhD on Glycosylated Proteins at the Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, under the guidance of Dr T N Pattabiraman, the then HoD of Biochemistry at Manipal. She took a break in between owing to family responsibilities, and joined the Pain and Palliative Care Society, Thrissur as Volunteer, Trainer & Editor of their Quarterly Journal, Reaching Out. She joined the Jubilee Mission Medical College & Research Institute in 2012, as Nodal Officer, Research Wing, and was / is involved in Research Facilitation Team, assisting the MBBS,/ Nursing students, PG / DM students, and Faculty in going through the Research and Ethics committee approvals. She also assists in administrative duties of Ethics Committee in preparing SOPs, getting the Regulatory Approvals & Accreditations.
