Dr. Saritha Francis is a translational scientist with expertise in clinical chemistry, disease risk prediction, and translational biomedicine, with a strong focus on womens health and metabolic disorders. She earned her PhD in Disease Risk Prediction and Stratification from the University of Calicut. She currently serves as Scientist B at the Jubilee Centre for Medical Research, Jubilee Mission Medical College & Research Institute, Thrissur, where she contributes to multidisciplinary research integrating molecular biology, biostatistics, computational biology, and clinical investigation. Her expertise spans Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, disease risk stratification, biostatistics, and in silico approaches including molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation, drug target identification, structure function analysis, and mutation analysis. During her postdoctoral research at JCMR under the mentorship of Dr. Dileep Vijayan, she conducted gene variant analysis of uterine fibroids using whole-exome sequencing. Dr. Francis has extensive experience in experimental and molecular techniques such as nanoparticle synthesis, PCR, blotting techniques, DNA isolation, tissue culture, microbial culture maintenance, protein purification, chromatography, and phytochemical analysis, complemented by proficiency in SPSS, MedCalc, and Minitab. Her current research focuses on developing translational therapeutic strategies for endocrine metabolic disease management, bridging computational discoveries with clinical application, with a long-term vision toward personalized medicine.
